Viridian 100% Organic Echinacea Tincture
The Echinacea species are perennial herbs native to Midwestern North America although they grow well in the UK and North European climates. Of the nine species, E. Angustifolia, E. Purpurea, and E. Pallida are the most commonly used clinically. The portions of the plant used for medicinal purposes include the aerial portion, and the whole plant including the root. Historically, Echinacea has been used by the American Indians for more illnesses than any other plant.
Echinacea may exhibit immune stimulating properties. Echinacea provides a broad spectrum of effects on the immune system and appears to offer benefit for all infectious conditions. It may also have anti-viral effects in the body, Echinacea has shown to be effective against the common cold, influenza and herpes virus, and urogenital infections. Research has demonstrated that Echinacea reduces severity of cold symptoms, time between infections, and increased the speed of recovery
Dosage
15-30 drops two to three times daily (half the amount for children under 12)
